What they've described in that definition is boycotting. Cancel culture is actively trying to ruin someones life via targetted harrassment aimed at getting that person fired and getting their friends/family to shun them (among other things)

That is SO incredibly dangerous. Since when has the public had ALL the facts? Are we to believe the public knows more than the prosecutors that spent months to years investigating a crime to present them in a court of law as evidence. They aren't talking about real justice. They are talking about mob justice. You know that sort of thing has happened throughout history and has ALWAYS ended badly. It usually results in the eventual repression of a group of people.
