@ window to wall ratio is way out of the proportion. It makes it look like jail. And building an attached garage is simple a bad idea for a big lot like this. The ceiling is about 8ft tall: that is not tall enough to have an open plan like this: you need 10ft to have a large room like this.

I thought I was crazy as well for thinking this! Its not exactly wanting a minimalist lifestyle, its more just having the least amount of physical connections to the world. Im always finding myself combing through all my things finding books, clothes, stationary, etc. that I can get rid of because it feels so freeing
