just like resetting technology try holding your breath for 20 seconds it will reset the respiratory system inside your body and the hiccups will go away. or drinking water slowly will work (cuz you won't breath for a few secs). I'm not sure if it's true but essentially hiccups happen because of regulation in the diaphragm wall, and it pushes your lungs which causes the hiccup, so holding your breath will stop the movement of the diaphragm wall and the walls and hopefully gets everything back to place. sorry for the lengthy message but I hope helps anyone.
