a hoof is basically a big ass toenail that horse is prob super okay with it

explaination: horse hooves are basically toe nails, and that owner really let that horse get way too long of hooves (imagine like an inch or two/2-3 cm of overgrowth on your toes) and the farrier is just giving them a big ol trim. Their hooves feel no pain of being cut. They're basically the equivalent of toenails to us. Trust me, they LOVE it when you trim their hooves back. In fact my horse trots everywhere once she is serviced.

In that truck getting smashed video, there were a lot of "pre-videos" of it on reddit which always cut just before the truck hits the pole or that thing which were r/mildlyinfuriating for many people(me included). So, some legend uploaded the video where the truck finally hits the pole. It was truly satisfying.

There’s a famous clip of that truck about to smash into that wall, then it cuts to a different angle showing the same run up, then another angle, then another angle and another. Its a gif where the truck never smashes and its the most unsatisfying thing I’ve ever seen. So this video brings me peace.
the satisfaction in this stems from a gif similar to this going viral a while back. In the original gif, the truck never crashed. It just showed all the possible angles of the truck approaching the obstacle and cut away frames before the impact every time. This brings closure to my heart.

At this clip used to be a gif, where the truck got super close to the pole each time, but right before it hit the pole the camera reset from a different angle. It was annoying because you never got to see what happened to the truck, but this clip gives us closure. That is why it is satisfying.

It's a thing, called l'appel du vide, the "call of the void"! It's possibly caused by a miscommunication in your brain. For example jumping off a high place - I believe you can find it strangely appealing, because it's the strongest choice you can make in that situation. Same goes for the urge to stuff your finger into the machinery or for example the urge to jerk the wheel while driving.

thats exactly why we have that in our brain. It’s a self preservation response. Your brain is like “Hey, what if you jump” in order for you to get that exact reaction of “Hell no! I’m not gonna do that” and so you take a step back for the cliffs edge. Kinda cool actually, in a creepy way. Our brain is literally designed to freak us out in order for us to take a reality check.

I remember when I was like 8 at my cousin's wedding in Spain, it was a lovely church on top of a hill and I remember standing against the railings on the cliff with my teddy bear (I brought it everywhere with me don't @ me) and I spent so long deliberating on whether I should chuck my teddy off the cliff, knowing that I would be distraught. I don't know what is wrong with the human brain to cause such an impulse to do something like that and thus intentionally cause a breakdown. It's like I wanted to chuck it off and make myself cry yet I also didn't at the same time. Weird.

The answer to this is because our brain is acting out certain scenarios in our heads to see if it would put us in danger, or in harms way. It's the same reason why you have the urge to jump when you're near a high place, because your brain is acting out as if you were to jump, and it's telling you to be careful.
